Government to support growers, growers and hops growers

The Cabinet of Ministers determined the directions of state support for the agricultural sector for 2020, including the development of horticulture, viticulture and hop-growing, wrote Taras Vysotsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine.

“Decree No. 109 defines the areas of state support for 2020, one of which is financial support for the development of horticulture, viticulture and hop-growing,” wrote Vysotsky.

In particular, assistance is provided for the reimbursement of 80% of the cost of planting material after planting, as well as for the construction of wallpaper and the installation of drip irrigation systems after the completion of installation work.

They will also reimburse 30% of the cost, excluding VAT, of the objects of storage and processing of fruit and berry products, grapes and hops that were built and reconstructed and accepted for use during the period from January 1 to September 30, 2020; fixed assets and goods acquired during this period, work performed and services received.

It is stipulated that the total amount during one budget year per farm in these areas of state support cannot exceed UAH 25 million.

The right to state assistance is granted to legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. Documents for state support are accepted until October 1, 2020.

Money to gardeners, winegrowers and hoppers should come in from November to December 2020 to the current account.
