Representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the year, domestic farmers have received almost UAH 33.4 billion in bank loans for farm development. Of these, 5,000 enterprises received UAH 18.9 billion under the state program "Affordable loans 5-7-9%".

Farmers of the Kyiv region received the largest amount of loans under various programs - UAH 7.2 billion. It is followed by Vinnytsia (3.7 billion UAH), Dnipropetrovsk (2.7 billion UAH), Kirovohrad (2.6 billion UAH), and Odesa (2.2 billion UAH) regions. At the same time, agricultural enterprises from Kirovohrad region, Vinnytsia region, Odesa region, and Kyiv region received the most under the "5-7-9% Available Loans" program.

We will remind that earlier the Association "Ukrainian Club of Agrarian Business" appealed to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal with a request to facilitate the fastest possible expansion of the limit of the amount of credit from UAH 90 million to at least UAH 135 million for farmers within the framework of the program "Affordable loans 5-7- 9%". They justified their request by the fact that without adequate funding, the sowing campaign this year may not take place on the necessary scale.

"If last year the farmers had a certain financial cushion that helped them get through the season even with the ports blocked, today there is none, there is a serious lack of liquidity, and the problems faced by the agricultural sector due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation have remained and continue to increase." - says the appeal.

"Currently, the issue of increasing the credit limit from UAH 90 million to at least UAH 135 million per business entity, taking into account related parties, remains extremely relevant. Such an amount was determined based on the results of a survey of UKAB members who need to attract additional funds under the "5-7-9% Available Loans" program, the farmers noted.
