Agricultural Companies Received UAH 13.7 Billion From Banks

Ukrainian agricultural firms attracted bank loans in the amount of UAH 13.7 billion under the affordable lending program. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development and Agrarian Policy of Ukraine. During the operation of the “5-7-9%” program, financial institutions issued 10,369 loans for a total of 25.5 billion hryvnias.

The companies raised UAH 13.3 billion as refinancing of previously received loans, UAH 4.5 billion was issued for capital investments, and UAH 7.7 billion was raised to replenish floating capital.

Agriculture representatives were the most active participants in the lending program. They accounted for 54% of all issued loans in the amount of UAH 13.7 billion. Trading companies and manufacturers received loans for UAH 4.8 billion, or 19% of the total share of loans issued. 15% fell on industrial enterprises (UAH 3.8 billion).

Most investments were attracted by enterprises from the Lviv region. The second place is taken by companies registered in the Kharkiv region. The top three are closed by firms from the Kyiv region.

Over the previous week, from March 8 to March 15, financial organizations issued 360 loans to businesses under the “5-7-9%” program for a total of UAH 1.422 billion. Of these, 985 million were issued as anti-crisis loans, which are used to replenish floating capital. Such loans are issued at a rate of 0%. For the purpose of refinancing, loans were issued for 339 million hryvnias. Companies have also received 98 million UAH for investment purposes.
