Almost 51 million tons of grain were threshed in Ukraine

As of the current week, almost 51 million tons of grain have been threshed in Ukraine. Relevant information is provided by the Government and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

According to reports, as of January 12, grain and leguminous crops were harvested on an area of 10.9 million hectares (94%) with a yield of 47 quintals per hectare. In total, 50.965 million tons of grain were threshed.

In particular, the entire harvested wheat crop was threshed (from 4.979 million hectares with a yield of 40.5 quintals per hectare, 20.2 million tons were threshed. The processed barley crop was 5.8 million tons, and peas - 269 thousand tons. At the same time, corn for grain 23.5 million tons were threshed, and buckwheat - 158.5 thousand tons. In addition, sunflower was harvested on an area of 4.8 million hectares, 10.5 million tons of seeds were threshed with a yield of 21.7 quintals per hectare. It is also reported that 3.7 million tons of soybeans were threshed, and 3.2 million tons of rapeseed seeds.

It should be noted that the farmers of Mykolaiv Region, Odesa Region, Bukovyna Region and Vinnytsia Region have finished harvesting this year's harvest of all agricultural crops. It is known that Poltava Oblast was ahead of Vinnytsia Oblast in threshing of grain - 4.9 million tons were collected there, which is almost 400,000 tons more than in Vinnytsia Oblast. At the same time, the highest yield of grain and leguminous crops among the farmers of Khmelnytskyi region is 70.8 centners per hectare.
