An Agro-Industrial Park Will Be Built in the Khmelnytsky Region

The competition of regional development projects has ended in the Khmelnytsky region. One of the two winners was the project for the construction of an agro-industrial park. It will be built on the territory of the Shepetivka amalgamated territorial community. The corresponding news was published on the website of the Shepetivka city council.

It is reported that UAH 28 million will be allocated for the implementation of this project. These funds will be received under state funding from funds that have been allocated by the EU.

The agro-industrial park, which is planned to be built on the territory of the Shepetivka amalgamated territorial community, will include a number of facilities. In particular, objects of material and technical base and infrastructure, necessary communications will be built. The park will operate in the following directions:

  • processing of crop, horticultural, livestock products;
  • greenhouse farms.

As reported in the press service of the Shepetivka city council, the construction of the facility will significantly increase the share of agriculture in the volume of GDP of the amalgamated territorial community. In addition, the innovative complex will be able to provide the Khmelnytsky region and a number of other regions with food products, and create new jobs. Also, the agro-industrial park will ensure the development of small and medium-sized businesses, which in turn will increase revenues to the budget of the amalgamated territorial community and the region.

The project will be implemented in 3 stages:

  • development of the project and selection of a site for the object – it is reported that the agro-industrial park will be built on an area of ​​about 5-7 hectares;
  • development and renovation of the existing infrastructure, construction of a new material and technical base;
  • attracting investors and launching the project.

Also, the press service of the Shepetivka city council announced the timing of the project. The agro-industrial park is expected to be launched in 2023.
