Bulgaria lifted restrictions on the supply of ukrainian products

The Cabinet of Ministers of Bulgaria has decided to lift restrictions on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Bulgaria. The decision to lift the bans was made on May 5 following a meeting between the heads of agricultural departments of the two countries – Yavor Gechev and Nikolai Solsky.

The press release from the Ministry of Agriculture also says that Bulgaria and Ukraine will develop a common declaration. The document will define measures in case of market shocks due to a sharp jump or decrease in prices for agricultural products. This is especially true for sunflower oil.

Bulgarian Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev said that Bulgaria and Ukraine will develop long-term solutions for the accelerated transit of agricultural products and submit them to the European Commission. Now the efforts of the two countries are aimed at developing logistics systems that will work to increase the efficiency of transit.
