During three quarters, Ukraine exported $16 billion worth of food

In January-September of this year, Ukraine's merchandise turnover amounted to $73.7 billion, of which exports were $27.1 billion. According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in the three most exported goods from Ukraine, food occupies the first position with a total value of $16.1 billion.

Exporters received the largest incomes from the sale of grain crops abroad (corn, wheat, barley, buckwheat, sorghum, rye), which makes up a quarter of all exports - in the amount of $6.1 billion. In second place is the product group "fats and oils" (15 .4% of total exports), which includes sunflower, soybean and rapeseed oils, as well as, to a lesser extent, margarine, fats and wax. The total value of goods of this group that were exported amounted to $3.8 billion.

It should be noted that exports in general and food exports directly are hindered by Russian attacks on Ukrainian ports. After Russia's withdrawal from the "grain agreement" there have already been 17 such massive attacks. As a result, the export potential of the ports fell by 40%, and the total mass of destroyed grain amounted to almost 300,000 tons. However, thanks to the actions of the Ukrainian military, the operation of the temporary corridor for civilian ships has already been ensured. In the world, it has already received the name "Ukrainian corridor".
