Export of Agricultural Products From Ukraine Increased by 17%

Ukraine continues to increase the volume of exports of agricultural products. In the first 9 months of 2021, the volume increased by 17% over the same period last year. The total figure was $ 18.2 billion, that is $ 2.6 billion more than from January to September 2020.

As the representative of the NSC “Institute of Agrarian Economy” Bogdan Dukhnitsky noted, grain and oilseeds prevail in the structure of goods. Also, our country exports a large amount of meat and products of its processing, as well as sunflower oil. Also, a significant share in exports is occupied by residues and waste from the production of agricultural products. Overall, all of the above types of products account for 85% of the export of agricultural products in Ukraine.

Asia ($ 9.016 worth of products supplied), the European Union ($ 5.417 billion), Africa ($ 2.327 billion), and the CIS countries ($ 959 million) remain the priority markets for export. These regions account for 97% of the value of all exports of agricultural products. In 2021, the share of supplies to all these regions increased.

China is the leader in the import of products from Ukraine. For the period from January to September, this country purchased goods worth $ 2.915 billion. India is in second place with $ 1.35 billion, and the Netherlands closes the top three with $ 1.203 billion.
