Farmers have already threshed more than 28.5 million tons of grain and oil crops of the new crop

At the beginning of August, Ukrainian farmers harvested 25.3 million tons of grain and more than 3.2 million tons of oilseeds. In general, the new harvest was harvested on an area of ​​more than 7.3 million hectares, and 28.5 million tons of agricultural crops were threshed. At the same time, farmers of Poltava region, Odesa region, Kherson region, Kirovohrad region, and Cherkasy region completed harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops.

The agrarians of Odesa are the leaders in grain harvesting, 1,064.9 thousand ha were threshed there. The Khmelnytskyi region is the leader in terms of yield, with an indicator of 65 quintals per hectare.

It is planned that this year the harvest of grain crops of only the early group in Ukraine will reach about 27 million tons. As the Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi previously reported on the air of the Yedyni Novyni telethon, "the equator for harvesting early grains has been passed." According to him, there are "certain adjustments by region". In particular, in the south-eastern regions, due to the heat, the yield decreased slightly, and in the western regions - it was higher than expected. In general, the results for early cereals correspond to the forecast. He also added that, according to a preliminary estimate, this season's export potential for grain crops is forecast to be 40-43 million tons.
