Farmers sowed 10 million hectares with crops

Ukrainian farmers planted crops on 10 million hectares out of the planned 13 million hectares. As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal stated during the Government meeting, "more than 10 million hectares have already been sown."

"In general, we expect to sow more than 13 million this year. This fully satisfies the internal needs of our market and leaves a significant space for exports and, accordingly, supporting the economy," Denys Shmyhal emphasized.

The Prime Minister added that mine danger remains another challenge for farmers and the entire country. Demining has been identified as one of our key recovery priorities for this year.

"We are attracting funds, equipment and technologies so that the process progresses faster. Now it was possible to survey 110 thousand hectares and discover more than 600 thousand explosive objects. Demining, especially in the frontline regions, makes it possible to plant crops there and bring life back to communities," he emphasized.
