For the first time in history, the Ukrainian winery won the platinum medal of the world's most influential wine competition

At the 20th Decanter World Wine Awards wine competition, Ukrainian wine won a platinum medal for the first time.

According to the information published on the official web portal of the most influential world competition, Ukraine was presented this year by wineries Beykush Winery, Chateau Edem, Chateau Chizay, Beykush Winery, Graevo and SHABO. In general, several dozens of wine samples were submitted to the competition, 37 of which won awards at once. And the wine Limited Edition Muscat Ottonel 2016 of the SHABO winery scored 97 points on a 100-point scale and won a platinum medal for Ukraine for the first time in the history of the prestigious tasting competition.

In general, Ukrainian wineries won the following awards:
SHABO – 1 platinum medal, 5 silver, 17 bronze;
Beykush Winery – 6 silver awards, 4 bronze;
Chateau Edem – 2 silver awards;
Chateau Chizay – 1 bronze award;
Graevo - 1 bronze award.

It should be noted that this year the expert jury evaluated almost 20,000 wines from 57 countries, and the jury included 236 international wine experts, including 53 specialists in the rank of Masters of Wine and 16 - Master Sommeliers.
