Harvesting campaign 2020 completed in Ukraine
As of December 14, Ukrainian agricultural producers completed the 2020 harvest campaign and harvested 83.8 million tons of staple crops from an area of almost 24.1 million hectares, of which grain and leguminous crops account for 65.4 million tons (15.3 million hectares, 99% ).
This is evidenced by the data of the project "Harvest Online 2020".
In particular, in the context of the main crops, farmers threshed:
wheat - 25.1 million tons from an area of 6.6 million hectares (the average yield was 3.83 tons / ha);
barley - 7.77 million tons from an area of 2.38 million hectares (3.26 tons / ha);
peas - 516.2 thousand tons from an area of 237.7 thousand hectares (2.17 tons / ha);
buckwheat - 105.6 thousand tons from an area of 78.4 thousand hectares (1.35 tons / ha);
millet - 243.7 thousand tons from an area of 150.3 thousand hectares (1.62 tons / ha);
sunflower - 13.1 million tons from an area of 6.4 million hectares (2.06 tons / ha);
soybeans - 2.8 million tons from an area of 1.3 million hectares (2.07 tons / ha);
corn - 29.8 million tons from an area of 5.35 million hectares (5.57 tons / ha);
sugar beet - 9.2 million tons from an area of 216 thousand hectares (42.37 tons / ha);
rapeseed - 2.55 million tons from an area of 1.11 million hectares (2.29 tons / ha);
