Land monitoring system to be created in Ukraine

Land monitoring system to be created in Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved Resolution No. 474, according to which a system of public monitoring of land relations will be created. The document is published on the CMU website.

The monitoring system is necessary in Ukraine for the full functioning of the land market. The country still lacks a unified open database that would contain all the information about land relations. According to the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Lyudmyla Shemelynets, information on land relations is currently being accumulated in various state bodies and cannot be transparent. The creation of an open registry will allow to systematize all information and make land relations transparent. It will also simplify the exchange of data between government departments, saving time and human resources.

The system for monitoring land relations will make information about their current state and development more accessible, as well as provide an opportunity to predict the dynamics of changes. Thanks to it, it will be possible to improve the quality of land management at all levels. It will also be possible to establish public control over this area.

Access to information will be provided to all users, without restrictions. The monitoring results will be published on the Unified Open Data Portal and on the website of the State GeoCadastre.
