Prices for the Production of Agricultural Products in Ukraine Continue to Grow

In Ukraine, there is a significant increase in the cost of production of agricultural products. According to the State Statistics Service, in the first 9 months of 2021, agricultural production costs increased by 36% compared to the same period in 2020.

The largest increase was seen in the production of animal products. This industry has seen an increase of 40.1%. As for the goods of plant origin, their production rose by 33.7%.

The most significant rise in prices is observed for material and technical resources of industrial origin. In particular, goods of this group became more expensive by 39.4%.

As for the dynamics for the month, in September, the costs of agricultural producers increased by 1.8% compared to August. Crop production increased in price by 2.4%, livestock products increased by 0.3%. The cost of material and technical resources increased by 2.9%.
