Since the beginning of November, vegetables have become more expensive in Ukraine

Profile internet portals conducted an analysis of price dynamics for the main groups of products and recorded a gradual increase in vegetable prices. In particular, a month ago, potatoes of the new crop were sold at an average price of UAH 13.25 per kilogram, and currently their price has increased to UAH 16.9. Onions also added to the price and cost UAH 12.52. And young cabbage, which was the most affordable vegetable last month, costs up to UAH 22.

In general, the price of seasonal vegetables in Ukraine increases by 10-15%. This opinion was expressed by the executive director of the Ukrainian Discussion Club Oleg Pendzyn. But he added that there will be no crazy increase in the price of onions and carrots.

"Traditionally, everything depends on whether there will be blackouts. If they are, they will become more expensive. In any case, the cost of storage will be added to the cost of vegetables. Therefore, I think that at least we will see an increase in prices by 10-12-15%, but it will be less than, for example, last year. Because there were fewer vegetables last year, the deficit was higher," he said.
