Slovakia stops processing Ukrainian grain due to the presence of pesticides

In Slovakia, a scandal broke out related to Ukrainian grain. The country banned the processing and sale of grain from Ukraine because pesticides banned in the EU were found in one of the batches. At the moment, it is not known what kind of pesticide was found in the composition, but it is known that it is banned in the EU and is considered harmful to health.

This became known from the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of Slovakia. At the moment, the department has organized a set of samples of all grain and flour from Ukraine, which entered the country. All EU countries will be notified about the results.

The Minister of Agriculture of Slovakia, Samuel Vlchan, has already informed the Ambassador of Ukraine, Myroslav Kastran, as well as the agricultural departments of Romania and Bulgaria about the incident. At the moment, Slovakia has completely suspended the circulation of Ukrainian grain and recommends that other states do the same.
