The average price of 1 hectare of land in Ukraine has increased by more than 9 thousand UAH since the beginning of December

As of December 19, since the opening of the land market (July 1, 2021), 137.6 thousand land-related transactions have taken place in Ukraine. The area of land, according to registered transactions, reaches 311.157 thousand hectares.

As noted in the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine, since the beginning of the functioning of the land market, 5661 notaries have submitted 6374 applications for access to the State Land Cadastre, of which 5552 have been approved, 1 is in the queue for consideration, 821 applications have been refused. At the same time, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (February 24, 2022), almost 36.7 thousand land agreements have been concluded, covering an area of almost 67 thousand hectares.

The regions with the most active land market during the war (in terms of the number of transactions and the area of land for which transactions were registered) are Vinnitsa and Kirovograd (7 thousand hectares each), as well as Khmelnitsky and Poltava (6.9 thousand hectares each) regions.

«Over the past two weeks, 2844 transactions were concluded within the land market for an area of 5.581 thousand hectares. The average price of 1 hectare of land in Ukraine has increased by more than 9 thousand UAH since the beginning of December - now it is 47.227 thousand UAH,» the Ministry reported.

It should be noted that the capitalization of Ukrainian public agricultural companies for the period from December 14 to 21, in general, decreased. In particular, according to Eavex Capital, the market capitalization of agricultural companies over the specified period has changed as follows:

MHP – increased to $378 million;

Kernel - decreased to $287 million;

IMK - decreased to $108 million;

Astarta-Kyiv - decreased to $105 million;

Ovostar Union - increased to $55 million;

Agroton - decreased to $15 million;

Milkiland - decreased to $5 million.
