The condition of Mykolaiv Port's participation in the «Grain Agreement» is named

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaly Kim, on the air of the national telethon on Tuesday, November 22, emphasized that it will be possible to involve Mykolaiv Port in the implementation of «Grain Agreement» only after the release of the Kinburn Spit.

 

He reminded that currently «...the de-occupation of Kherson Oblast, as well as Mykolaiv Oblast - where the Kinburn Spit is ongoing».

 

«Geographically, our ships have to sail within a kilometer of the Kinburn spit, which is currently dangerous. When there is no artillery there, it will be a very urgent issue. We are preparing», said the head of the administration.

 

It should be noted that, according to V.Kim's information, which he made public in his own Tg-account, the Armed Forces of Ukraine remained to liberate three settlements on the Kinburn Spit belonging to the Mykolaiv region.

 

«We have three settlements left on the Kinburn Spit so that we can legally leave the state of the warring region», the post read.

 

We will remind that the need for «Grain Agreement» arose because of the military actions of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine. The agreement made it possible to unblock three ports of «Great Odesa»: Odesa, Black Sea and Southern sea ports. During the period of validity of «Grain Agreement», from August 1 to November 17, 2022, more than 11 million tons of food were shipped through these ports. Currently, from November 17, its validity has been extended for 120 days. Turkey and the UN remain guarantors of the Agreement.
