The Government of Ukraine Allowed the Export of Rye and Mineral Fertilizers

The government has abolished the zero quota for the sale of rye and mineral fertilizers to foreign markets. The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine announced this. This means that the export of these goods will be resumed in the near future. According to the Cabinet of Ministers, Ukraine has rye residues at the level of 73,000 tons, and the expected harvest will be 351,000 tons.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the annual consumption of rye in Ukraine is 353,000 tons. Thus, 71 thousand tons can be exported. As for mineral fertilizers, the demand for these products during the sowing period of winter crops is lower, so it was decided to remove the restriction on their sale.

Representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that the export of mineral fertilizer residues would increase the inflow of foreign exchange earnings to Ukraine. This is important for economic recovery and maintaining the functioning of the economy in the face of Russian aggression. Previously, zero quotas were introduced for the export of rye and mineral fertilizers, as these goods were classified as critical.
