The "Grain Corridor" Is Expected to Be Continued After November 22

The

Ukraine expects that the work of the "Grain Corridor" will be extended after November 22. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure, Alexander Kubrakov.

The UN, Ukraine, and Turkey are taking steps to ensure that after November 22, the possibility of exporting Ukrainian grain from the ports is preserved. This was discussed at Kubrakov's meeting with Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar. During the visit, the terms of the extension were discussed; all parties expressed their desire to extend the agreement. Kubrakov said that he has no doubt that this initiative will continue to work.

Since the "Grain Corridor" launch and until October 16, 2022, more than 7.7 million tons of grain have been exported from Ukrainian ports. Such a step made it possible to avoid a critical rise in prices on world markets, which could lead to famine in Africa and the Middle East. Despite the war that the Russian Federation is waging against Ukraine, the "Grain Corridor" made it possible to ensure food export.
