The Land Market in Ukraine Grew by 40% in November

In November 2021, the volume of the land market in Ukraine increased by 40% compared to October 2021. This was stated by the expert of the Kyiv School of Economics Roman Neuter. He noted that sale and purchase transactions were carried out in October with 38,000 hectares of land. This is the highest figure since the launch of the land market. In November, this record was broken and amounted to 45,000 hectares. Thus, for the first time, the total exceeded the mark of 100,000 hectares.

The average cost of a hectare of land remains stable – 39.8 thousand hryvnia. The price may differ, depending on the purpose of the land. For example, for commercial agricultural land the price is less than the average, and it is 33.5 thousand hryvnia per hectare. As for the land of personal agriculture, it is higher – 46.6 thousand hryvnia per hectare.

As for the area, they sell more commercial land. 65.5% of all transactions are concluded in its relation. However, only 42.8% of financial transactions concerned commercial land plots. More than 50% of transactions were concluded in relation to personal land. Kharkiv, Kherson and Kirovohrad regions remain the leaders in terms of land sales.
