The reservation for farmers will last for one year

Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi, emphasized that agricultural industry workers will be able to receive a year's armor from mobilization to ensure harvesting.

According to the government official, several decisions on mobilization have been made so far. First, existing bookings are automatically extended for three months without the need to submit a single package of documents. Further reservation will be granted for 12 months - previously it was 6. In addition, the general reservation rate is up to 50%, but in certain occupations it is possible to submit a request with justification to increase this number. This applies, for example, to tractor drivers, agronomists, and veterinarians.

Currently, due to mobilization in certain areas of the domestic agricultural industry, the number of employees has decreased to approximately 20%, which has significantly increased the burden on the rest. The most needed in both the agricultural sector and the Armed Forces are engineering professions: tractor drivers, machinists, elevator equipment engineers.

By the way, experts have already calculated how the consequences of a full-scale war affected the number of job offers in the agricultural sector, as well as wages offered in the industry. In May, the number of ads on OLX in the field of agriculture amounted to 1,017 offers. The largest number of job advertisements were in Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava regions. In May, the average salary in job offers for workers in the agricultural sector amounted to 22,163 hryvnias (+11% for the year).

It should be noted that in Ukraine, enterprises must meet three criteria in order to receive the right to economic reservation of employees. This was recently stated by the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danylo Hetmantsev. According to him, the members of the White Business Club can become large, medium and small enterprises that have a tax burden no less than the average in the industry, have a salary no less than the average in the industry in the specified region, and have no tax debt and delinquencies. At the same time, there is no maneuver for the tax office to recognize who is a member of the Club and who is not.

"This will be a model of economic booking. It is about the ratio of turnover and paid taxes. If you have a tax burden of 5% of your turnover, it doesn't matter if your annual turnover is UAH 1 million or UAH 100 million, it will still be a burden of 5%. And if your tax burden corresponds to the average in the industry, then this criterion has already been met," Danylo Hetmantsev noted.

In general, the shortage of personnel in Ukraine has already reached a historic level, and the number of open vacancies posted on personnel portals has reached a record high. As analysts note, there are more job offers on the market than before the full-scale war, and there are significantly fewer job seekers. The most acute shortage is felt where mostly men worked.
