This year Apple Feast of the Saviour will be the most expensive in the entire history of independent Ukraine

The price of honey in Ukraine increased by 3-12%, depending on the variety, and apples doubled in price and became the most expensive in the entire history of independent Ukraine.

In particular, a liter of seasonal honey costs an average of UAH 190-280 on supermarket shelves. And if we talk about apples, then the popular "Golden" variety costs UAH 35 per kilogram. At the same time, last year the price was UAH 18.

According to agricultural experts, the price of apples has increased because the ripening of fruits has slowed down significantly due to a long and cold spring. But this year, the price tags for all varieties of apples have jumped significantly — at least twice as much compared to the price in August 2022.
