Ukrainian agricultural products restrained inflation in the European Union

The First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Taras Vysotskyi, on the telethon "Yedini Novyni" emphasized that the export of Ukrainian agricultural products restrained the level of inflation in the European Union.

He emphasized that the supply of Ukrainian agricultural products in general helped to control inflation. Taras Vysotskyi also said that the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine led to an increase in the prices of agricultural products on the world market.

"That is, inflation in the countries was significant, but without it the supply would have been even greater. This is all included in the report. We hope that it will be possible to record on the figures that it is first of all beneficial for us to cooperate, including in the field of agricultural industry," said Taras Vysotskyi.

According to him, the increase in prices in export-oriented countries led to a positive economic effect. Also, referring to the report of the European Commission, the government official noted that there are ongoing discussions on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to EU countries. The parties for each state separately discuss the possible impact of increased supplies.
