Ukrainian farmers collected more than 50 million tons of grain of the new crop

In Ukraine, 50.4 million tons of the new crop were threshed from an area of 14.2 million hectares. According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 34.3 million tons of grain, 13.6 million tons of oilseeds and 2.5 million tons of sugar beet were collected.

In addition, 22.3 million tons of wheat and 5.5 million tons of barley have already been threshed; peas - 465.3 thousand tons. Corn threshing amounted to 4.7 million tons, sunflower - 6.6 million tons, and soybean and rapeseed - 3.5 million tons of seeds, respectively.

As for exports, since the beginning of the 2024/2025 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 10,053 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. The country has already exported 5.802 million tons of wheat, 1.253 million tons of barley and 2.7 million tons of corn.

Farmers are also sowing winter crops. So far, they have sown almost 2 million hectares of winter crops. Among the leaders in winter grain sowing are the farmers of Poltava Oblast - 106.4 thousand hectares, Kirovohrad Oblast - 105.8 thousand hectares, Mykolaiv Oblast - 89.9 thousand hectares. In addition, farmers in the Volyn, Rivne, Zakarpattia, Ternopil, and Lviv regions completed sowing of winter rapeseed.

It should be noted that the drought in the Black Sea region has caused significant delays in the sowing of winter crops, which puts next year's wheat harvest at risk. On 70% of the areas that should be sown with winter crops, the summer-autumn drought is still ongoing.
