Ukrainian farmers have started harvesting

Agrarian farms in Odesa and Mykolaiv regions have started harvesting winter barley. The harvest has already been carried out on an area of 4.8 thousand hectares. The yield was 26.5 centners per hectare. So far, 12.6 thousand tons of grain of the new crop have been threshed.

Relevant information was provided by the Ministry of Agricultural Policy.

The leaders in threshing are the agricultural producers of Odesa with an indicator of 4,000 hectares. At the same time, the agrarians of the Mykolaiv Region are ahead of the crop yield level — 32.0 quintals per hectare.

Let's add that farmers have finished sowing spring crops. A total of 12.75 million hectares of grain, leguminous and oil crops were sown, as well as 213 thousand hectares of sugar beet. In particular, 5 million 672 thousand hectares of cereals and legumes were sown

We would like to remind you that in 2023, 68 million tons of grain and oil crops can be harvested in Ukraine. This is 5.8 million tons or 8% less than the 2022 harvest.
