Ukrzaliznytsia opened new railway sections on the border with Poland

Ukrainian exporters get new logistics routes for the export of agricultural products. For this, Ukrzaliznytsia has restored two sections of the railway communication between Ukraine and Poland. This was announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov.

The road has been opened on the restored sections of the State Border – Starzhava – Khyriv – Nizhankovichi – State Border (line 102) and Khyrov – Sambir. As part of the railway reconstruction program, almost 70 kilometers of railway tracks were restored, as well as 10 bridges. In addition, the station buildings and passenger platforms were renovated. The renovations were completed in less than a year.

Thanks to the completion of these infrastructure projects, the capacity of the railways in the direction of Poland is increasing. Kubrakov also noted that the Ministry of Infrastructure is also working on the overhaul of roads. Last week, the checkpoint for empty trucks "Nizhankovichi – Malchovice" began its work. Back in 2022, the capacity of the Krakovets – Korchova point was increased. They also managed to reduce the queues at the Yagodin-Dorogusk checkpoint.
