As reported by the press service of the USAID AGRO Program, the Ukrainian solution for fixing losses in the agricultural sector as a result of the war was among the top five leaders of the international innovation competition at the annual conference "SID-US".

The purpose of the annual international conference and innovation competition "SID-US", which takes place annually in Washington, is to identify solutions and developments that can help the world to face global challenges. At the last conference, the Ukrainian solution for fixing losses in the agricultural sector as a result of the war was among the five finalists of the innovation competition.

"Proper evidence base about the damages caused to farmers is important for international courts and compensation mechanisms. There was no methodology for their fixation in Ukraine, so the experts of the VAR and the USAID AGRO Program developed it," the message reads.

It is noted that the methodology contains instructions for fixing damage, document templates, a video example of the documentation process and an interactive map of the destruction of the agricultural sector of Ukraine. The latter already contains data on 534 objects and 1,100 pieces of evidence about crimes by Russian troops against agricultural enterprises.
