З початку маркетингового року Україна експортувала більш 11 млн тонн зерна Since the beginning of the marketing year, Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tons of grain

Since the beginning of the 2024/25 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 11.041 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. At the same time, 592 thousand tons of grain were shipped only in the current month. As representatives of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported, as of the same date last year, the total figure for shipments was 6.822 million tons. In addition, the export of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season is estimated at more than 20,000 tons.

Note that the harvest in Ukraine is already coming to an end. So far, 56.6 million tons of the new crop, which has been harvested on an area of 15.8 million hectares, has been threshed. In total, farmers harvested 37.3 million tons of grain, 15.8 million tons of oilseeds, and 3.5 million tons of sugar beet. At the same time, even despite the war, our country currently exports 5.5% of the world's wheat reserves. In this regard, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Vitaliy Koval noted during the anniversary 10th international conference "Bread of Peace 2024" in Germany that the food security of Ukraine is also the food security of the world, because the country supplies products for 600 million people around the world.

"There is a well-known Ukrainian proverb: "Bread is the head of everything." It contains the age-old wisdom of our people. After all, due to famines, wars and other disturbances, Ukrainians know the price of bread. In Ukraine, they say that if there is bread, there will be peace, there will be a happy, healthy life in the country. Therefore, Ukrainians, despite the war, show with all their actions that they have not stopped, they continue to sow and harvest. Ukrainians know that they are entrusted with an important mission - to ensure food security not only internally, but also externally," noted Vitaliy Koval.

It should be added that within the framework of the conference Vitalii Koval met with the Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture of Germany Cem Ozdemir and the Minister of Regional Development and Agriculture of the Republic of Estonia Piret Hartman. During the bilateral meetings, the parties discussed the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in the agrarian direction, in particular, the implementation of the humanitarian initiative "Grain from Ukraine".
