Ukrainian processing enterprises will receive another UAH 1 billion in grants

The government has improved the process of providing grants for the creation or development of processing enterprises within the framework of the "eRobota" program - the financing of grants for processing enterprises has been increased by UAH 1 billion. From now on, it will be possible to use the funds of the mandatory state social insurance fund in case of unemployment as a source of funding for the program.

According to the Ministry of Economy, the main manager of these funds is the State Employment Service. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In the conditions of limited export of Ukrainian products, the government pays maximum attention to the development of the processing industry. The development of Ukrainian production is an absolute priority within the framework of the implementation of the national strategy for the transition from the raw model of the economy to high-tech industries and increasing the added value of finished products. Attracting funds from the Mandatory State Social Insurance Fund in case of unemployment to finance the "eRobota" grant program will contribute to the development of the processing industry, the creation of new jobs, and the growth of the economy.

By the end of the current year, entrepreneurs will be able to receive additional processing grants in the amount of up to UAH 1 billion. Next year, the government is laying down over UAH 5 billion for grants in the processing industry from all sources - about 1,000 enterprises will be able to receive them. The government plans to provide up to 20,000 new jobs in processing and related industries thanks to grant support for business.

According to the representatives of the Government, the development of processing enterprises stimulates the demand for the production of equipment for processing enterprises in the domestic market and has a multiplier effect for replenishing the budgets of all levels. Thanks to the increase in the number of new jobs, the burden on the state budget in terms of unemployment benefits should decrease. In the future, it will help to return forced migrants from abroad.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the implementation of the program, more than 400 grants worth UAH 2.2 billion have already been issued.
