Ukrzaliznytsia sent the first batch of trucks across the Polish border

Ukrzaliznytsia sent the first counter-trailer train with trucks to Poland. The company worked on this project for two weeks. The train consists of 23 platforms, on which 13 tractors with semi-trailers were loaded.

The train will run along the route Sknyliv (Ukraine) - Slavkuw (Poland). Customs and border clearance of cargo takes place at the railway border crossing Izov – Hrubeshiv. Currently, there are formal questions regarding the rapid crossing of the Polish border, but specialists are already working on speeding up this process. Similar flights will be organized in the return direction. From the Slavkuv station, trucks go to their destination already by road. The transfer of car drivers from the loading point to the railway platform to the unloading point is provided by bus.

It should be noted that the leader of the coalition in the newly elected Polish parliament, Donald Tusk, who is most likely to head the country's government, announced his intention to resolve problematic issues in relations with Ukraine. He criticized the actions of the current government of Mateusz Morawiecki and said that he would immediately take care of the correction of such problems as the blocking of cargo transportation on the border with Ukraine. According to the politician, he will act in the interests of Polish carriers, but will seek to resolve issues so that the border blockade is stopped.

We will remind that since November 6, Polish transporters started a strike and are blocking the movement of trucks across the Ukrainian-Polish border. In particular, the movement of freight transport in the direction of the three largest checkpoints Korchova - Krakowiec, Grebenne - Rava Ruska, Dorogusk-Yagodin is blocked. Later, on November 23, carriers blocked the Medica - Sheghini checkpoint. The protesters are demanding to ban the registration of transport companies with foreign capital in Poland, as a result of which Polish entrepreneurs are being pushed out of the market. They also demand restoration of entry permits to the European Union for Ukrainian carriers and improvement of service at the border. The action of Polish carriers was planned for a period of two months - until the end of the year.
