Consumer prices for food in Ukraine increased by 14% last year
Consumer prices in Ukraine increased by 14% last year compared to 2023. In this case, a year ago, this growth was 5%. According to the press service of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, vegetables (by 48.3%) and butter (by 33.9%) increased most significantly in 2024.
In addition, more than 10%during the year, sunflower oil (20.9%), bread and bread products (by 14.8%), milk (18.8%), as well as fruits, cheeses, eggs and pasta were rusted during the year. .
In total, in three years of a full -scale war, the total consumer price index increased by 144.2%, which means an increase of 44.2%. Products and non -alcoholic beverages went up by 50.8%, transportation by 57.1%, and education by 38.4%. Fruits were most expensive - by 109.8%, the least - oils (except olive) - by 6.7%. And with regard to the future, experts warn of the movement of Ukraine on a pessimistic scenario, although the economy is while keeping a certain balance.
It should be noted that this year the New Year's basket will cost Ukrainians much more than a year ago. In total, the New Year's basket went up by 35%, as on average, the price of the entire borsch set increased by 70%. And in general, agala products in Ukraine are only increasing all the time. In November alone, consumer prices increased by almost 2%, and since the beginning of the year, prices have been over 10%. According to some positions, the cost of products in Ukraine can already be compared to price tags in countries such as Poland, Germany and France.
