Domestic equipment will cost farmers cheaper due to government compensation

The government is launching a compensation program of 25% of the cost of Ukrainian-made agricultural machinery. The relevant decision, aimed at protecting and supporting the national producer, was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The main thesis of this decision is the support of the national producer, stimulation of demand for products and goods made in Ukraine, which is the basis of state policy.

Therefore, the introduction of a compensation program of 25% of the cost of Ukrainian agricultural machinery purchased by Ukrainian farmers will be only one of the programs of such support. The government budgeted UAH 1 billion for the implementation of this project this year. In the future, it is planned to expand the scope of the program to other types of domestically produced equipment.

"Making Ukrainian, buying Ukrainian, developing Ukrainian industry is our way to economic growth and self-reliance," said First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko on this occasion.

The list of suppliers of agricultural machinery, the cost of which can be partially compensated under the terms of the program, will begin to be formed after the entry into force of the Government's decision and will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Economy. To receive partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery, farmers will need to purchase domestically produced machinery and submit an application for compensation and supporting documents to an authorized bank.
