Half of Ukraine's Grain Exports in 2020 Went to Asia and Africa

Ukraine is actively developing grain exports in the markets of Asia and Africa. In 2020, 50% of exports went to countries from these regions. This is reported by the head of the analytical group "Ukrainian Association of Business and Trade" Oleksandra Avramenko.

Asia's share in grain exports was 25.2%, while Africa's share was 24.4%. The countries of the European region took third place – 19.5%, of which 19.3% were shipped to the EU countries.

Alexandra Avramenko said that 43% of grain exports are accounted for by the private business. In total, 1908 companies are engaged in the supply of such products.

It is also believed that the countries of the Middle East are a promising direction for grain supplies. In 2020, this region ranked 4th in terms of imports of Ukrainian grains, its share amounted to 16.8%.
