Japan Will Finance the Construction of Grain Storage Facilities in Ukraine
The Japanese government intends to finance the construction of new granaries in Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Japan will build temporary granaries on the border of Ukraine and Poland. This will simplify logistics and facilitate the export of agricultural products from Ukraine along logistics routes through Poland, Hungary, and other European countries to ports for further export.
The Government of Japan will allocate $100 million for the construction of granaries. This amount will be used as part of a program approved by the Government of Ukraine to expand existing grain complexes and build new storage facilities. This is necessary for the export of grain and ensuring the food security of the world in the conditions of the blockade of Ukrainian ports by the occupying forces of the russian federation.
