Officials Agreed on Technical Details of Grain Export from Ukraine

At the talks between Ukraine and Russia, the sides came to an agreement on the technical details for the export of grain from Ukrainian ports. The talks were held in Istanbul, with the mediation of Turkey and the UN. Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar assessed the meeting as "constructive".

As a result of the meeting, it was decided to establish a coordination center with the participation of 4 sides. Joint control over the movement of ships was agreed. Decisions were made to ensure the safety of vessel traffic along the main sea routes.

According to Akar, the second meeting will take place next week. During the talks, general principles were agreed upon. Next, they need to work out the details on a number of issues. In case of successful agreement, the corresponding document will be signed. UN Secretary General António Guterres expressed hope for the signing of the document.
