Polish farmers complained about the decline in grain prices due to exports from Ukraine

Polish farmers protested and blocked traffic in the area of the Dorogusk checkpoint. Grain producers brought more than 500 tractors and completely stopped the work of the checkpoint. The reason is the export of grain from Ukraine.

The leader of the AgroUnia association, Michal Kolodzeychan, explained why the Poles took to the protest. He stated that up to 80% of the grain that passes through Poland is actually unloaded and sold in this country. This leads to a significant reduction in product prices, because grain from Ukraine creates an additional supply, saturates the market, and does not allow farmers to sell their goods at a better price.

At the same time, Kolodzeychan noted that AgroUnia and other agrarian associations have nothing against the transit of grain from Ukraine through Poland to other countries. One of these days, the protesters are expected to meet with Polish Minister of Agrarian Policy Henryk Kowalczyk, where these issues will be discussed.
