Russian trucks, trains, ships and planes will be banned in Ukraine

Within ten days, the Cabinet of Ministers will submit to the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine proposals regarding the application of 50-year sectoral sanctions against Russia. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Cabinet Order No. 39 of January 19, 2024.

Currently, it is proposed to ban direct air traffic with Ukraine, as well as the use of Ukrainian airspace and airspace over the open sea, for all types of direct and transit flights of aircraft, the owners (operators) of which are legal entities - residents of the Russian Federation, a ban on entry into Ukraine motor vehicles (buses, trucks) registered on the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as a ban on the import into the customs territory of Ukraine under all customs regimes of railway rolling stock (wagons of all types, locomotives) for persons associated with the aggressor state, as well as rolling stock of the stock taken into account by the railways of the Russian Federation.

There is also a ban on sailing in the internal waters of Ukraine and entering the seaports of Ukraine of ships flying the flag of the Russian Federation, ships whose owners/shipowners are citizens of the Russian Federation, legal entities registered on the territory of the Russian Federation, legal entities, ultimate beneficial owners, members or participants (shareholders) of which are citizens of the Russian Federation, individuals and legal entities, in respect of which sanctions have been applied and ships that made calls to ports located in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
