The Cabinet of Ministers Simplifies the Procedure for Obtaining State Support for Agricultural Companies

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution, according to which state support for the agricultural sector will become more accessible. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Economy and Agrarian Policy Roman Leshchenko.

The decree provides for a new mechanism for receiving funds. The goal of the program is to eliminate the administrative problems that farmers face when preparing to participate in the programs.

Leshchenko said that it would be easier for farmers to get financial support since some requirements were eliminated by the decree. In particular, farmers no longer need to receive a certificate of the absence of debts to the Ukrainian State Fund.

There is also no need to confirm the presence of cattle. The Minister of Agrarian Policy said that now government agencies will be engaged in checking these data. Departments will be obliged to independently request data from Ukrainian State Fund and AIP.

Leshchenko also added that in order to participate in a number of programs, farmers will not have to submit certificates of ownership or lease of a land plot. This document will be submitted only by farmers who apply for a subsidy for one hectare. In other areas, this document is no longer needed. In addition, the size of the subsidy per hectare of cultivated land will also change. In accordance with the decree, the amount of support will increase from 3000 to 5000 UAH per hectare but not more than 100,000 UAH per recipient.

To receive subsidies for keeping cattle, farmers will need to apply not to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy but to a special department of the Regional State Administration. For new farms, it is possible to receive one-time support in the amount of UAH 36,000.
