The government will support farmers in the liberated territories

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine formed a working group, which should help solve the problems of agricultural producers registered and working in the territories liberated from the Russian invaders. As reported by the Ministry, First Deputy Minister Taras Vysotsky became the head of the interdepartmental group.

The Ministry noted that the support should help enterprises resume work. They also plan to help farmers prepare for sowing. At the meeting of the group, assistance to agricultural producers, whose enterprises are located in the front-line territories, or were moved to the territory controlled by Ukraine, was also discussed. Currently, agro-entrepreneurs from the liberated territories have the opportunity to receive finance on preferential terms of the program "Affordable loans 5-7-9". The specified program was extended for the next year. About 18 billion hryvnias have been set aside for this in the state budget. Farmers in the liberated territories of Ukraine can get loans at preferential rates of 1-3% per annum.

By the way, in Ukraine, starting next year, they plan to resume the work of the budget program, which provides for partial compensation for the purchase of domestic agricultural machinery. As Taras Vysotskyi reported, in 2024, state programs to support agricultural producers will also continue to operate. He added that Ukrainian agricultural producers should do everything to ensure that their products meet the standards of the European Union regarding safety and quality indicators. The First Deputy Minister also noted that the state program is planned to be financed in 2024, aimed at the development of processing, greenhouse farming, berry growing, viticulture and horticulture.
