The Growth of the Agricultural Sector Was the Highest Among All Sectors of the Economy

The agricultural sector showed the best growth dynamics of all sectors of the economy. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Roman Leshchenko. The agricultural sector showed an increase of 16.7% in 11 months of 2021. No other industry has shown such impressive results.

The agricultural sector has retained the status of the leading industry in the Ukrainian economy; it provides stable revenues and receipts to the country's budget. Leshchenko noted that Ukraine retains its place in the list of countries on which food security throughout the world depends. In the current season, the state has provided state support for more than 10,000 agricultural companies and 55,000 farmers. More than UAH 4.6 billion was paid out in total.

In 2021, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy focused on the areas of agriculture that required the greatest support – livestock, horticultural, processing, etc. Leshchenko said that the entire amount of support for 2021 has already been paid.
