The Ministry of Finance Told About Subsidies for the Agricultural Sector for 2022

The draft state budget for 2022 provides UAH 8 billion to support the agricultural sector. This is 2 times more than in 2021 (4 billion hryvnia). This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Finance Serhii Marchenko.

The funds will be allocated for the development of the agro-industrial complex, subsidies for agricultural companies, and the introduction of land reform. In particular, farmers will be able to take advantage of government programs to finance the purchase of agricultural machinery, subsidies for irrigation, and partial compensation of interest rates on loans. Grants are also provided for the development of animal husbandry and crop production. In total, the budget for the implementation of these programs provides UAH 4.6 billion.

For work on land reclamation and irrigation in areas of high risk of drought, the government will allocate 2.7 billion hryvnia. Also, UAH 715 million will be allocated to continue the land reform.
