The Procedure for the Allocation of Funds for the Land Irrigation Program Has Been Approved

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for obtaining state support for participants in the land irrigation program. Companies that use reclaimed land can get support. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal.

Shmygal said that agricultural companies can receive compensation in the amount of 25% of the cost of installing or modernizing irrigation systems. It is expected that the modernization of the systems will increase the yield in the southern regions of Ukraine by at least 2 times. In 2021, the amount of subsidies for businesses will amount to UAH 50 million.

According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, such a step will not only increase the yield of agricultural land, but also ensure the creation of new jobs and GDP growth.
