The second stage of land reform in Ukraine is promised to be launched according to plan

There will be no changes to the second stage of the land reform in Ukraine, and the land market for legal entities will be operational from January 1, 2024. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi.

According to him, legal entities will be able to buy land from the new year, and the war encourages, on the contrary, to speed up reforms, not slow them down. Therefore, my country should move towards liberalization, not strict regulation. After all, the war is a reason, on the contrary, to move faster with reforms.

"First of all, we have to take care of ourselves. Business is not driven by sentiments. We should have convenient rules, no worse than in countries where we are ready to invest money," the minister emphasized.

Earlier, Solsky noted that it is not worth postponing further steps in the implementation of land reform in Ukraine, on the contrary, the reform should be intensified. According to the government official, the land reform is positively characterized by the fact that during several years of implementation, little is said about it. This means that from the very beginning, a working and effective option for the opening and functioning of the land market was chosen, although at one time it caused heated discussions.

Mykola Solsky also reminded that for most Ukrainians - even those who monitor the situation in this field - it was almost imperceptible that during the implementation of the land reform several legislative changes were made to it, primarily related to the simplification of procedures.
