The State Budget 2025 has more than UAH 6 billion for the agricultural sector

The Verkhovna Rada adopted the state budget for 2025. As the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, announced, all taxes of citizens and businesses next year will be directed to the defense and security of our country. The total resource, which will be directed to the security and defense sector, will amount to UAH 2.23 trillion. And more than UAH 6 billion will be directed to support the agricultural sector.

It is planned that UAH 1 billion will go to the development of animal husbandry and the processing industry. These are the funds that will come to the budget from the "Land Bank" project from auctions for the lease of state agricultural lands. In addition, the state budget provides 4 billion 726 million UAH for the payment of subsidies per hectare to agricultural producers and for the maintenance of cows, sheep and goats. Another 200 million hryvnias are planned for the restoration and construction of reclamation systems. UAH 5 million will be directed to compensation of the Unified Social Contribution to family farms, and UAH 80 million will go to providing preferential interest-free loans to farms.

Currently, the Government is trying to create an effective and systematic mechanism for supporting the country's agricultural industry. In particular, the Procedure for the creation and functioning of the electronic system of registers in the field of crop production - "E-crop production" was recently adopted. It is assumed that an important component of the electronic system of registers in the field of plant breeding "E-plantation" is the database of varieties. It consists of interconnected electronic registers - the Register of Applications, the State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Distribution in Ukraine, the State Register of Patents for Plant Varieties, the State Register of Seed and Nursery Entities, the Register of Certification Auditors (agronomists-inspectors), the Register conformity assessment bodies, Register of certificates for seeds and planting material. In addition, changes have already been made to the Procedure for Issuing, Canceling, and Temporarily Suspending the Auditor's Certification Certificate.
