Ukraine has officially joined ePhyto

Ukraine has officially joined ePhyto and gained the ability to exchange electronic phytosanitary certificates with 124 countries. This currently opens new opportunities for Ukrainian producers, simplifies trade procedures, and makes the certification system more transparent and efficient.  

It is believed that ePhyto addresses a number of issues, specifically the prevention of counterfeit phytosanitary certificates, simplifying procedures in international trade, increasing transparency during the exchange of certificates between countries, and activating the diversification of Ukrainian exports. 

Thus, Ukraine not only continues to align its regulatory and legislative frameworks with European standards but also promotes innovative technologies to become an equal partner for Europe. The exchange of electronic phytosanitary certificates in the Phytosanitary Inspection System (PHIS) with the Ukrainian digital project ePhyto will eliminate the forgery of such certificates and significantly expedite compliance with mandatory procedures when crossing borders. The implementation of ePhyto is expected to ease access for Ukrainian farmers to international markets, improve control, and enhance trade efficiency, which is made possible by modern digital solutions in the phytosanitary field. The ePhyto system was developed by the International Plant Protection Convention, which is part of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. 

Additionally, a new app called "MOYE" was recently launched in Ukraine to provide free assistance to landowners. This free app "MOYE" will help users quickly view data about their land plots. It provides access to current information from official sources and allows users to view information about the plots (cadastral number, intended use of land, area, and other characteristics). From now on, anyone who owns a plot can view information in a convenient mobile application.
