Ukraine plans to simplify the procedure for transferring land from one type to another

A draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which will facilitate the procedure of transferring land from one type to another within the framework of the land market. According to media reports, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Rostislav Shurma said this.

"Within a maximum of two months, it is planned to pass a law, already registered in the Verkhovna Rada, which will allow for just one electronic application to convert land from agricultural to industrial, to make this process very simple without any approvals," the official said.

He explained that if the owner wants to build a small factory for the production of meat, biofuel or oil, he needs an industrial plot, but now the procedure for transferring land from one type to another is very complicated.

We would like to add that the International Finance Corporation (IFC) from the World Bank Group will continue to support Ukrainian agro-industrial companies even in war conditions, but the continuation of land reform will facilitate such support and provide companies with access to other financing.

"I think it's time to continue working on all the decrees, documents or anything else to make the law work," said IFC Managing Director Makhtar Diop.

He added that the IFC has signed an advisory agreement with the Ministry of Finance on public-private partnerships.
