Ukraine Resumes the Export of Poultry Products to the EU in Full
The European Union has removed all restrictions on the supply of poultry products from Ukraine. The ban ceased to operate on January 17. This was reported by the State Food and Consumer Service of Ukraine.
The import of poultry products to the EU countries was suspended in December 2020. At that moment, an epidemic of highly pathogenic bird flu was recorded in Ukraine. Because of this, the import of goods was first completely banned, and then the State Food and Consumer Service achieved zoning according to the number of cases of infection. Thus, it was possible to resume partial deliveries from territories where no cases of infection were detected. Now the restrictions have been completely lifted and deliveries have resumed.
In 2021, Ukraine was visited by representatives of a number of countries that are trading partners. Representatives of the EU, USA, Japan, China, and Canada visited the country to check the bird flu control system. According to the results of the checks, the measures taken were assessed by the representatives of the partner countries as effective.
