Ukrainian farmers have already collected 75 million tons of grain and oil crops of the new harvest

Currently, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine are harvested on 10.2 million hectares, that is, on 94% of the land. With an average yield of 53.8 centners per hectare, farmers threshed 55.1 million tons of grain. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, the harvesting of corn (threshed 3.33 million hectares with a yield of 74.8 centners per hectare - 24.88 million tons), buckwheat (threshed 139.7 thousand hectares with a yield of 14, 8 quintals per hectare - 207.4 thousand tons were threshed), and millet (already 180 thousand tons). Harvesting of oil crops - sunflower and soybeans - is also almost completed. Thus, the total gross harvest of grain and oil crops in Ukraine reached 75.763 million tons. In addition, the harvesting of sugar beets continues - 11 million tons have already been dug up.

It should be noted that the area of winter wheat sowing in Ukraine has already exceeded 4 million hectares - as of November 21, the total area of winter grain crops in Ukraine is 4.605 million hectares. 10 oblasts of Ukraine have already fully completed the sowing of winter crops, and in other regions the sowing campaign is also coming to an end.

As for the export of Ukrainian grain, it exceeded 3 million tons in November. In total, since the beginning of the 2023/24 marketing year, Ukraine has exported 12.5 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. By the way, this indicator of seasonal exports is inferior to last year, when almost 17 million tons were shipped as of November 25, of which 3.8 million tons were exported in November 2022.
