Ukrainian farmers will receive more subsidies from the state

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution on amendments to the Procedure for the use of funds provided for in the State Budget for providing support to farms and other producers of agricultural products. This Order was approved back in 2022. The new document expands the directions of state support for farmers registered in the State Agrarian Register. Payment amounts are also increasing.

In particular, budget funds will be provided to farmers who cultivate up to 120 hectares of agricultural land. The amount of assistance has been increased from UAH 3.1 thousand to UAH 4 thousand per hectare. A separate budget subsidy was introduced for farmers from the de-occupied territories and those territories where hostilities have ended. They will receive UAH 8,000 per hectare. Also, a special budget subsidy is planned for the maintenance of cattle (cows) of all areas of productivity. So, farmers keeping from 3 to 100 cows will be able to receive UAH 7,000 per head. Moreover, a special budget subsidy has been introduced for the maintenance of breeding stock of goats and sheep — UAH 2,000 per head for those who keep from 5 to 500 of these domestic animals.

As the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, noted on this occasion, the government's priority is to support farmers in the de-occupied territories.
